Overview

This programme is designed to deliver the following benefits:

  3. Incorporation of latest thinking in the delivery and evaluation of all your training 

The workshop will be delivered in line with the following Ground rules:

Programme Objectives

  • The 10 criteria as to what a good opening to a training session should contain including ‘training ethics and professional standards’.
  • The 6 criteria as to what a good opening to a training session should be.
  • The 9 criteria as to what a good closure to a training session should contain.
  • The 6 criteria as to what a good closure to a training session should be.
  • 5 key challenges faced in delivering any training session namely managing people, managing process, managing groups, managing time, managing self.
  • 9 key facilitation skills to ensure a smooth and effective training session.
  • 11 key presentation skills to ensure a smooth and effective training session.
  • 20 key tips for dealing with difficult participants.
  • 4 stages of effective evaluation.
  • 5 top tips to remember if you want to be a consistently good and effective trainer.

Accreditation by ILM is optional.

Structure & Requirments

All participants will be asked to undertake and return some pre – course preparatory work and some possible work between Modules.

This Training for Trainers programme is run over 2 separate Modules.

Module 1 of the programme is designed to provide learners with the necessary underpinning knowledge and skills on how to design, deliver and evaluate an effective training session. 

Module 2 asks each participant to deliver a sample training session from their chosen training session, against the templates and guidelines provided during Module 1. 

Who should attend?

It is presumed that delegates have prior knowledge of training delivery. However it would be crucial that the training provider is informed that modules on ‘Learning Styles’ and ‘How Adults Learn’ have already been covered in previous workshops, this could be clarified during a planning meeting.
